Who am I ?

Therapist: Allison Santana, LMFT

Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 8+ years of counseling experience working with adolescents, parents, families, and couples.

Brene Brown says, “Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, change and creativity.”  These attributes are the driving force for growth and self-discovery as you learn more about yourself, your family members, and the world around you.  I would love to help you in connecting your head and heart together through therapy. Therapy is designed to be a safe place to explore, learn, be challenged, and develop knowledge and coping strategies to be a better version of yourself.

How I Got Here:

After getting my Bachelor of Science in Social Worker and Addiction Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2010.  My first two jobs out of college were community mental health and elderly population.  These experience and the people I meet influenced my desire to pursue a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Upon graduation, I worked with adolescents and their families with drug and alcohol addiction at an Inpatient level for 4 ½ years.  My passion continues to be working with adolescent as they navigate being a teenager and helping them with improving family issues and communication.  I have been in group private practice since September 2021 and switched to solo practice March 2024.  Throughout my career in the mental health field, I continue to desire to help individuals and their families with restoring relationships and creating peace and wholeness in the midst of daily life.

Outside of the Office:

I am a wife and mother of two adorable girls.  I enjoy being at the beach, spending time with my family & friends, reading books, and drinking copious amounts of coffee. I am a huge fan of traveling, Taylor Swift, Target, and donuts.  I live with my husband (who makes the best biscuits and gravy), our two daughters, and our dog Charlie.

Be on the lookout- sometimes Charlie comes to visit the therapy office to help!
